FORMS
Commissioned by the National Media Museum for the 2012 exhibition, "In the Blink of an Eye," visual artists Memo Akten and Quayola break new ground in their 3D collaboration. In Forms, the athletic human body is reinterpreted with digital sculpting so that the viewer can imagine motion along the space-time continuum in a completely new light. Claiming inspiration from Duchamp, the fractured yet connected portraits illustrate cubist concepts of perspectivism in the x, y, and now z axes.
